Antonietta (Seminara) Balsamo

MILTON - Antonietta (Seminara) Balsamo, 87, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Alimena, Italy on July 22, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria (Signa) Seminara.

Antonietta was married to the late Angelo R. Marabello and they were married for 14 years.  On December 17, 1995 she married the late Gaetano Balsamo and they were married for 25 years until his death on July 28, 2021.

She worked as a seamstress in Brooklyn, New York for 40 years.  She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Local 89 Union, Brooklyn New York.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Vivian and Joseph Pantano of Milton, one son and daughter-in-law; Carmine and Maria Marabello of Fairfield, NJ, six grandchildren; Gino and Amanda Pollari of Turbotville, Salvatore Pantano of Milton, Karla Marabello of Paramus, NJ, Toniann Marabello of Paramus, NJ, Angelo Marabello of Fairfield, NJ, and Christy Marie Marabello of Fairfield, NJ, five great-grandchildren; Gino Pollari, Lorenzo Pollari, Vito Pollari, Isabella Pollari, and Sage Andressa Carvajal, two sisters and one brother-in-law; Maria Ciuro of Brooklyn, NY and Santa and Charles Albanese of Brooklyn, NY, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, first and second husbands, Antonietta was preceded in death by one son; Salvatore Marabello, two brothers; Gaetano and Joseph Seminara and two sisters; Sarina (Seminara) Faulisi and Lena Marabello.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.  A graveside service will take place in St. Charles Resurrection Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.
