B. Stump

B. Ruth (Fisher) Stump, 89, formerly of New Columbia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Buffalo Valley Assisted Living, Lewisburg.

She was born on August 4, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Winifred (Huff) Fisher.

On March 18, 1950 Ruth married the late Wayne A. Stump, Sr. and they celebrated 47 years of marriage together until his death on February 22, 1997.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and always was the happiest enjoying the times spent with her family.

Ruth is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Wayne Jr. and Sharon of State College, George and Janice Stump of Lewisburg and Dale and Kathy of Lewisburg, three daughters and 2 sons-in-law; Ruth Forbes and her companion Richard Kitchen of Northumberland, Lana Rote of New Columbia and Christine and Charles Long, Jr. of Milton, ten grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, seven brothers and sisters; Nelson, Beatrice, Beryl, Robert, Carol, James “Henry”, Kay and her sister-in-law; Peggy Clemens.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters; Grace and Nancy along with all of Wayne, Sr.’s siblings.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village and Evangelical Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions may be made to; United In Christ Lutheran Church, 1875 Churches Road, Lewisburg, Buffalo Valley Assisted Living, 189 East Tressler Blvd., Lewisburg or to Hospice of Evangelical, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg.

Services for Ruth are being held privately at the convenience of the family.  Burial will take place at a later date in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.  Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
