SUNBURY - Candace L. (Follmer) Whiting, 75, died Friday, October 10, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born on May 1, 1950 in Lewisburg and was the daughter of the late Randy Follmer and Sally (Herrick) Black.
Candace was a graduate of Waynesboro High School, Class of 1968. After school she went on to raise her family and work with the foster care system for many years.
She was a member of Revival Tabernacle Church, Watsontown and enjoyed; thrift store shopping, playing cards and dominos, reading, spending time at the cabin for girl’s weekends, but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them was important to her.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; Omar Whiting of Selinsgrove and Dylan and Brittany Booth of Pittsburgh, four daughters and two sons-in-law; Stacy and Christopher Clayberger of Fillmore, New York, Misty and Jeffrey Clark of Sunbury, Jenna Booth of Mifflinburg and Lauryn Whiting of Mifflinburg, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law; Gregory and Catherine Planz of Laurelton and two sisters and one brother-in-law; Sherry and Eugene “Butch” Herman of Troxelville and Jody Day of Danville along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Candace was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her and her two uncles.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Revival Tabernacle, 960 Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown, PA 17777 with Pastor James Bond officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
