Fernando L. Alvirena

MILTON - Fernando Leandro Alvirena, 72, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home.

He was born on July 29, 1953 in Lima, Peru and was the son of the late Juan Alvirena-Granda and Dora (Solano)

On November 11, 2000 Fernando married the former Isabel (Flores), who survives, of Milton and they celebrated 24 years of marriage together last year.

He served in the Peruvian Armed Forces before moving to America and becoming a United States Citizen.

Fernando was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milton. He loved to dance and celebrate with his family and friends. Fernando worked for Watsontown Trucking for many years. After retirement he went on to drive school bus for the Milton School District.

In addition to his wife, Fernando is survived by one son; Dennis Alvirena of Beaver, three daughters; Dora Gonzalez of Pittsburgh, Katherine Mckever of Muncy and Gabriela Reynolds of Danville, nine grandchildren; Enrique Yost, Pierre Alvirena, Natalie Alvirena-Flores, Kingston Alvirena, Josiah Alvirena, Mateo Alvirena-Flores, Elias Mckever, Kendall Mckever and Zailee Reynolds one great granddaughter; Eden Marley Ivette Rustad, two brothers; Cesar Alvirena and Jose Santos-Prieto and one sister; Alina Walker.

In addition to his parents, Fernando was preceded in death by one sister: Irene Castro.

All immediate services for Fernando will be held privately and a memorial Mass will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton is honored to care for the Alvirena family.
