Lillian M. Ritter, 99, of White Deer, passed away on August 25, 2025 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg where she lived for the past four years.
She was born on March 22, 1926 in Paxtonville and was the daughter of the late George E. and Anna V. (Mitchell) Weirick.
On March 13, 1947, Lillian married the late Harold L. Ritter and together they celebrated 56 years of marriage until his death on December 4, 2003.
Lillian loved to go fishing. When she was younger, she followed after her grandfather, Bill, every time he would go fishing. She ended up with the nickname “Billy”. She was an avid crocheter and could whip up a homemade pie in record time. She thought nothing of making 10 loaves of homemade bread at a time. During the recovery from the 1972 flooding, we were the only household that had bread. She was a member of the Milton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived in her immediate family, one son and daughter-in-law; Rick and Beth Ritter of Watsontown and one daughter; Shelly Ritter of White Deer, grandchildren; Brent Kline and his wife Amanda, Brad Kline and his fiancé Kaity McAndrew, Shana Rittter, Steve, Dan and Tim Fessler and great grandchildren; Cameron Kline, Cora Kline, Archer Kline, Jaxon Ritter and Penny McAndrew as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian was preceded in death by three brothers; Galen, Kermit and Neal Weirick and six sisters; Cova Ebright, Vera Heim, Margie Ritter, Mary Hackenberg and Audery and Martha Weirick.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2995 Housels Run Road, Milton, followed by a memorial service at 3:30 P.M. with Greg Allison officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
