MILTON - Patricia J “Patty” (McKissick) Strobel, 70, of Milton, stepped into the presence of her Savior February 12, 2026 in New Castle, following a year long battle with cancer.
Patty was born May 23, 1955 in New Castle and was a daughter of the late James R and Evelyn M McKissick.
She graduated from Lawrence County Vo-Tech in 1973.
Patty married her beloved husband, Robert, on June 15, 1973 and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage.
Patty was a dedicated homemaker. As a committed Christian, she loved serving other people, especially her husband, children, and grandchildren. She faithfully served those in the various churches and communities her husband pastored over a 40 year period. In retirement, she served alongside her husband in 5 different churches where he was interim pastor, currently in the Hillside Bible Church, Mifflinburg. Patty was a member of the Winfield Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Patty is survived by her daughter; Tracy (Rob) Cummins of New Castle; son Mark (Tessie) Strobel of Milton, three grandchildren; Jonah, Emmah and Aavah and 4 “adopted” grandchildren, Tim and Matt Anning and Zamya and Aleah Icenhour, her brothers; J Robert (Kathy) McKissick, of North Fort Myers, FL, William (Faye) McKissick, of New Wilmington, David (Jo) McKissick, of Jasper, GA, her sister; Helen Riddle, of Estero, FL along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her step mother; Lisa (Schwartz) McKissick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Winfield Baptist Church, 330 Pa-304, Winfield, PA 17889 or to Hillside Bible Church 1650 Centennial Road, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Hillside Bible Church, 1650 Centennial Road, Mifflinburg, PA followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 with Pastor Corey Mitchell officiating.
An additional gathering of friends and family will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Evangel Community Church, 1530 Harlansburg Road, New Castle, PA 16101 followed by a Celebration of Life service with Pastor John Coomber and Pastor Harry Edenhofer officiating. This service will be livestreamed via the link below.
