Paul I. Clayton

NEW COLUMBIA - Paul I. Clayton, 80, died Monday, September 29, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Lewisburg on December 21, 1944 and was the son of the late George and Ethelda (Swanger) Clayton.

Paul served his country proudly in the United States Navy and served from September 26, 1962 until being honorably discharged on June 9, 1966.

On June 22, 1968 Paul married the former Evelyn L. (Mummey) and they celebrated 57 years of marriage together this year.

He was a graduate of Milton Area High School, Class of 1962. Paul worked for Chef Boyardee, Milton and retired in 2010.

Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Paul Clayton of Watsontown, Scott and Teressa Clayton of New Columbia and Todd and Tish Clayton of New Columbia, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, five brothers and four sisters.

In addition of his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.

All services are being handled privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Mongomery with Military Honors.
