LEWISBURG - Ruth M. (Croman) Eisley, 96, died Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Riverview Manor, Lewisburg.
She was born on March 2, 1929 in Sugar Loaf and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Nida (Defrain) Croman.
On June 26, 1948, Ruth married the late Robert Eisley and they celebrated 54 years of marriage together until his death on June 8, 2002.
She was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1947. After school, Ruth worked as a seamstress and spent her time raising her children and building a loving family alongside Robert.
Ruth was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Milton for over 50 years where she served as a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir and was a part of the hand bell choir. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, cross stitch, crocheting, knitting, canning and traveling. Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed the time she was able to spend with them.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; William and Linda Eisley and Thomas and Dana Eisley, four daughters and two sons-in-law; Kathy Eisley, Theresa and Dennis Lewis, Diana Ptaszkowski and Mary and Timothy Snyder, 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two brothers and one sister-in-law; Raymond Croman and Joe and Eleanor Croman.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by three sisters; Norma Wagner, Irma Brackman and Jane Cotner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Geisinger Hospice, 1253 Susquehanna Trail, Suite 102, Selinsgrove, PA 17870
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 9:00 – 10:00A.M. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market Street, Milton, PA 17847 followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00 with the Reverend Doctor Michael Goodling and Pastor Brian Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Montoursville.
