Shirley A. Maturani

PENNS CREEK - Shirley A. (Rearick) Maturani, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at her home.

She was born on October 30, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Russell E. and Lola (Strickler) Rearick.

On July 2, 1955, Shirley married the late Gene Maturani and they celebrated 63 years of marriage together until his death on June 11, 2019.

She was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1952. She worked for Reed’s Dry Cleaners, Milton for 24 years and retired in 1996. Shirley attended St. George Catholic Church, Mifflinburg and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.

Shirley is survived by one son; Geno A. Maturani and his partner Michael Lupo of Penns Creek and one daughter; Leslie A. Yocum and her partner Jay Buck of Milton, three grandchildren; Lance Yocum of Milton, Aubrey and Bristol Marunde of Henderson, NV and Christopher Buck of Milton and three great grandchildren; Peyton Yocum, Kale Marunde and Kane Marunde.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers; Paul and Russell Rearick and two sisters; Betty Barnhart and Virginia Heimbach.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at St. George Catholic Church, 775 Forest Hill Road, Mifflinburg, PA 17844 with the Reverend Fred Wangwe, A.J. officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Harmony Cemetery, Milton at the convenience of the family.
