MILTON - Thomas E. “Tom” Berger, died Monday, February 23, 2026, at Milton Nursing & Rehab Center.

Born in Lewisburg on January 21, 1956, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Lois (Edmundson) Berger.

Tom was a 1974 graduate of Milton High School. One of his first jobs out of school was at Zenith Corp in Watsontown. He also worked for the Milton Standard and the Milton Truck Stop for many years.

Tom loved sports, especially football and baseball. He enjoyed going to the Milton High School football games and he was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved taking bus trips to any pro baseball game, but his team of choice was the New York Mets. (Let’s go Mets!)

Tom loved music and he happily shared his Columbia House Record Club albums and tapes with his younger sisters. He liked to make mix tapes to share music with others and to entertain family on road trips. Among his favorite artists were Gloria Estefan, The Beatles and Bruce Springsteen, who he saw live in concert in Hershey.

Tom also loved cats, classic TV, and Christmas with family.

He is survived by two sisters: Linda G. Lahr of Shamokin and Susan K. Berger of Milton, two nieces; Jennifer McClure of Alabama and Heather (Mike) Nacko of Carlisle, one nephew; Steven (Catharine) Berger of Alabama and one sister-in-law; Donna Berger of Alabama.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother; William H. “Bill” Berger, his brother-in-law; Donald Lahr and his most recent feline friend; Eddie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wellspan Hospice, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837. The family would like to thank everyone for the wonderful care given to Tom.

Services for Tom will be handled privately at the convenience of the family. The Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, Milton is honored to serve the Berger family.
