William E. Shemory

MILTON - William E. “Bill” Shemory, 84, died Wednesday, April 4, 2026 at Wellspan of Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born on January 27, 1942 in Turbotville and was the son of the late Henry E. “Ed” and Geraldine (Mingle) Shemory.

On June 24, 1976, Bill married the former Arlene M. (Camp) and they celebrated 49 years of marriage together this past year.

Bill was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1961. After school he went on to work as a carpenter for several places throughout the valley including Jasper Wood, Masonite, Rochelle Furniture and Crest Homes.

He was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ, Milton, the Kratzerville Fire Co. and a lifetime member of the NRA. Bill enjoyed hunting, farming, working with tractors and woodworking but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Brian and Aimee LaForme of Enola and one daughter and son-in-law; Lori and Al Fox of Lewisburg, four grandchildren; Cody Lee Fox, Kelly Jo Fox, Graham H. LaForme and Amelia C. LaForme, one great granddaughter; Bristol Ann Fox and one brother; Boyde Shemory of Watsontown.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by five brothers; Ken, Romaine, Robert, David and Randall and one sister; Cynthia.

All services for Bill are being handled privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at a later date in Paradise Church Cemetery, Milton. The Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton is honored to care for the Shemory family.
