DEWART - Doris J. (McIntyre) Wright, 89, died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born in Watsontown on July 4, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Helen Mae McIntyre.

On May 2, 1952 Doris married the late Robert D. Wright and they celebrated 53 years until his death on February 5, 2006.

She was a graduate of Watsontown High School Class of 1950.  She was a former member of McEwensville United Church of Christ and attended Watsontown Baptist Church.

Doris was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved her family dearly.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Richard F. and Karen Wright of Watsontown, three daughters and two sons-in-law; Susan Garthwaite of Watsontown, Joan M. and Michael Wertz of Lords Valley and Lori A. and Richard Stradley of Turbotville, seven grandchildren and their spouces; Jessica and James Roberts, Jill and Daniel Coyne, Jon and Erica Garthwaite, Richard Stradley, Eric Stradley, Leah and Bryan Poust and Remington Wright and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and husband, Doris was preceded in death by one son; Robert M. Wright.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, 2021 at Watsontown Baptist Church, 501 Main Street, Watsontown, Pa, 17777, followed by a Celebration of life service at 2:30 with the Reverend Dave Jones officiating. Burial will take place in Watsontown cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family. .

Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
