Lomon Brunson

MILTON - Lomon R. Brunson, 71, died on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at his home.

He was born on June 30, 1951 in Manning, South Carolina and was the son of the late Daniel and Christine (Thames) Brunson, Sr.

Lomon was a graduate of Milton High School Class of 1970.  After High School he proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany until he was honorably discharged in 1973.  He worked for PPL in Washingtonville and retired as an operator in 2010.

On October 20, 1973 Lomon married the former Sandra J. (Sechman), who survives of Milton, and they celebrated 49 years of marriage together this year.

Lomon was a former member of Deliverance Chapel, New Columbia and was a member of the American Legion and VFW.  He loved bowling and had several 300 awards and rings.  Most of all, Lomon loved his grandchildren, spending time with them meant so much to him whether it was reading the Bible with them, singing karaoke or throwing the ball outside it did not matter.

In addition to his wife, Lomon is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law; Sarah Brunson of New Columbia, Elisabeth Brunson of Milton, Rachael and Reuben Messer of Pineland, TX and Naomi and Roberto Mendez of Ore City, TX, nine grandchildren, one brother; Daniel Brunson, Jr. of Tulsa, OK and three sisters; Ruth Holder of Milton, Ethel Grimes of Tyler, TX and Barbara VanEvery of Largo, FL.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 11:00-12:00P.M. at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 12 with Pastor Tony Cruz of Freedom Life Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton with full Military Honors.
